Diane St. John is the owner of Human Resources Pacific Northwest. Aligning people strategy with business objectives, Diane helps organizations thrive. She has executive experience in global technology, nonprofit, government, and extensive biotechnology sector experience. Diane brings deep knowledge in both Human Resources strategy and in infrastructure building, encompassing more than 25 years of dynamic experience. With extensive experience leading teams and acquiring human capital, Diane has directed all aspects of HR operations. She possesses broad experience in strategic staffing and talent management, directing and managing benefits, compensation, equity plans, employee engagement, and executive coaching.
Career highlights include setting the talent acquisition strategy for the sales organization in support of the commercial launch of Seattle Genetics’ first oncology drug ADCETRIS® (brentuximab vedotin). She was key to the staffing initiative for the launch of DTC drug Cialis®(tadalafil) at ICOS Corporation. Expertise includes high-growth scenarios, merger and acquisition diligence, numerous restructurings, and culture transformation.
Diane serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason. Previous board and volunteer roles include the Board of Ambassadors of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Arthritis Foundation Great West Region, Life Science Washington (formerly Washington Biotech and Biomedical Association - WBBA) Human Resources steering committee, Wellspring Family Services, and Vice President of Outreach for Seattle Society for Human Resources Management.
Diane holds her executive MBA from the Foster School of Business, University of Washington. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and a Society for Human Resources Management SHRM-SCP certification.
